EXPERIENCE THE VERY BEST OF IRELAND

Day one
Day One

Welcome to Dublin

Today, your Dublin adventure begins.

The Vikings were the first to establish a settlement here in the 9th century along the River Liffey, naming it Dubh Linn (Black Pool). One thousand years later it became home to famed authors James Joyce, George Bernard Shaw, and Samuel Beckett, known worldwide for their cultural contributions. Today, the city is a major hub for tech companies like Google, Facebook, and Salesforce. Blessed with gorgeous Georgian architecture, world-class museums, libraries, and public parks, and an astonishing five Michelin-starred restaurants, the city is fueled by the ever-endearing Gaelic trait of craic (crack)—a hodgepodge of innate humor and all-around appreciation of fun.

Smoked salmon, Local Craft Beers and the Dublin Coastline

Leaving your hotel behind in the mid morning, you will travel 30 minutes east to the fishing village of Howth.

It's easy to be charmed by Howth. The picturesque harbour, tiny colorful sea front cottages and  wildflower-covered sea cliffs, it feels like a village you'd find on a far flung stretch of the west coast  along the Atlantic Ocean, not one that is just 30 minutes from the city center.

You will take a walk along Howth Head, to a private garden which has one of the most epic views of the coastline and the headland. You will sample some beautiful Irish smoked salmon which is expertly paired with champagne and craft beers from the area. You will learn about the  local area and how the headland shaped the city and how the lighthouse protected the coast.

Becoming U2

Dublin will always be at the heart of U2’s story.  After all, it’s where it began! Why not take a pilgrimage through the city and soak up some rock and roll inspiration?

Your U2 Trail begins at the Clarence Hotel, which started as a hangout spot for the band in their early days and is now co-owned by Bono and Edge.

The group will stop by the National Gallery to view Bono's specially commissioned oil portrait before heading to the infamous Windmill Lane Studios for an extraordinary tour where they will learn about the numerous acclaimed artists who have recorded there, and meet the in-house producers and engineers who make it all happen.

To top it all off, guest will put their vocals to the test with an impromptu recording session!
